“The Story Behind Act 1: “God Erased Us” is a simple idea turned into something greater.
When I shoot my short films, I usually never script. I pick up my camera and I go shoot with my girlfriend @decapitateddolls or I gather people I see potential in and I brainstorm on the spot. This time, I scripted, took my time with the aesthetic, and planned more efficiently.
I asked @grungeloved and @mary_sulli if they would be interested in being a part of this idea I had, they both agreed. We met up on a snowy day and the film came to life. I didn't have to direct them to do anything really, they were naturals and that's what made the film so authentic.
The actual story of the film is of a person who has been living on earth alone since a child. This person has never had any human interaction, love, hate, or fear. This person sat in an abandoned apartment and soaked in a tub full of discolored water. He started to imagine a new life; a new life where he felt love, connection, and something real.
In the end , he takes his own life by staying under the discolored water. I won't spoil it if the woman in the film is real or not, it is up to the viewer to come to a conclusion.”
